For those of you who didn't get a Christmas card, oh wait that would be all of you since we didn't send one out!, this is the family photo we would have included. Things are good at our house. The boys have been eating solids for a couple of months and although life is busy and hard, it is getting easier. I feel like my life is spent in the kitchen, and from what I hear, it only gets worse! Luke can army crawl, but we are still waiting for the day when they both take off to disappear for hours while they happily entertain each other. (Does that ever really happen?)
Below is the newest addition to our family!, well, the larger Bown family. Katie, Ruston's sister, had the most beautiful little girl on December 19, and we got to meet her last week.

And lastly, Brooke thought she looked so cute with the curlers in her hair, that she made me post this picture. Sadly though, the curlers mostly fell out while she was sleeping, so we had to start from scratch the next morning. Does anyone have any tips for keeping these super old fashion sponge curlers in?

You scared me. I thought you had had that baby. You are a Wonder woman! As for the curlers, we tried those with Kassidy also. We got the same result. Kass decided the next night to try my hard huge rollers, those didn't work either. Have you tried the old pioneer way of tying rags? We did it once at girls camp, maybe that would work?? Let me know if you try it. :)
My mom always tied a scarf around my head after she got the curlers in. It worked pretty good, at least from what I remember. I'm getting old...
Here is my mons trick for rollers: she dissolved a strawberry jello packet in 1 cup of warmish water then dipped the comb into that solution and combed it through the hair section before rolling it up. Once the whole head is rolled put on a netted cap - these are at target or
Walmart near the rollers. I think the coat two bucks. That process should make it stay. The jello makes the hair set like using spray gel - that would work too but then you don't get to smell fruity :). It might also help to do this a little bit before bed so it has a chance to dry a little first. Brooke sure is cute!
